Have you ever felt pressure in your life! This seems like an obvious question. Isn’t it? Let’s understand the mathematical logic behind the same with the help of a little bit of physics. Here we go…

Pressure is a scaler quantity as it has magnitude but no direction as such. Pressure is a quantity which acts in all the directions . It is the perpendicular force per unit area or in other words we can also say it as thrust per unit area. It mainly depends on mass of an object, accelerations of an object & area upon which the force is acting. SI unit of pressure id Pascals (Pa) . Dimension of Pressure is

Pressure is sometimes expressed in grams — force or kilograms — force per square centimetres (g/cm² or kg/cm²) . Pressure is a measure of potential energy stored per unit volume , that’s why it is related to energy density & may be expressed in units such as Joules per cubic metre {(J/m³) , which is equal to Pa}. Pressure are often expressed as a depth of a particular fluid.
